Aspen Family and Community Network Society
Our Vision:
Hopeful, connected & sustainable livelihoods for all.

Aspen's greatest conversation about vision is ongoing. Our hope for this vision is for it to be increasingly collective, clear, and common as Aspen journeys forward. Our vision emerges out of the community and involves and includes us all.

Aspen partners in the community with children, youth and families to inspire hope and develop sustainable futures.

Doing the right things. Aspen's belief about Equitable Sustainablity sees everyone having an equitable opportunity to adequacy, security, well-being, and the ongoing development of capability.

We seek outcomes in the following areas, and believe that these areas are key to the development of Sustainable Livelihoods.

1. Reduce vulnerability;
2. Increase well-being;
3. Increase access to income and resources;
4. Increase housing stability;
5. Increase food security;
6. Develop community.

We utilize two types of strategies to achieve these outcomes. We creatively and intentionally mitigate the effects of different forms of vulnerability, and we invest in the assets and strengths of children, youth, families and communities.
